NAVAL WARGAMING.
the figures/models shown in the pictures are selected from the author's armies.

"NAVAL WARGAMING" is - of course - not a wargames period, but a result of the urge to leave solid ground behind and scorge the seas (or rivers). Naval wargames are played in lots of different scales ranging from 25/28 mm (e.g. landings as part of an invasion game) to as small as 1/3000 for WWI/WWII/ major modern sea battles. Many campaigns (based on history or purely fantasy) become more challenging to the players because naval elements are involved, be it ancient galleys, Viking longships, ships of the line, ironclads, gunboats, battleships, carriers or whatever. Be honest, who doesn't want to rule the waves?...
